Visually Impaired Navigation Belt

After seeing how difficult it can be for visually impaired individuals to navigate unfamiliar environments, I set out to build something that could truly help.

Together with my team, I developed a wearable Navigation Belt using Raspberry Pi, Python, ultrasonic sensors, and vibration motors. Unlike most prototypes that stay in the lab, ours was tested for real-time obstacle detection and delivered directional haptic feedback — empowering users to move independently with more confidence.
